Spirit

Purpose:
The primary purpose of Spirit is to teach freshmen what it means to be an ACHS Wolf.  We want students to be excited and own the fact that they are an American Canyon High Student.  We have a big task.  Spirit comes in all shapes and forms.  It could look like cheering on the football team at their homecoming game or it can look like helping a student carry their books to their next class.  Spirit is synonymous with culture.  How do you want to be treated around this campus?  How do you want others to treat one another?  Spirit is modeling kindness, serving others, and achieving academic success.

Means:

1. Modeling
   
1. Go to sporting events (all fall time and spring time sports)
   
2. Attending Other School Events: Plays, Choir, Orchestra
   
3. Participate during spirit weeks by dressing up
   
4. Wear school colors, college gear, Link Crew gear on Fridays
   
5. Green Out school events
   
6. Following school rules at all times
   
7. Community Service - Attending community service events with freshmen
   
8. Academic Success - Helping at Wolf Support and maintaining good grade
   
   
2. Encourage Involvement - Go Big!
   
1. Competitions between Link Crew Leaders and Packs for student participation at events
   
2. Crew Wars
   
3. Help at the Club Fair (Around the world passport- get a small prize)
   
4. Link Crew Rallies that center around Purpose and Unity
   
5. Link Crew Bonding Games (Thanksgiving dinner/game nights/karaoke/etc.
   
6. Plan, Advertise, Communicate Events
   
7. Flashmob Dance?
   
8. Free food
